The last time I wrote anything substantial and stuck it up on this site was 570 days ago, give or take.  That is pretty pathetic.

Two days…two posts!  Look out…I’m on a roll!  A zero-carbohydrate, high-fat/high-protein roll of deliciousness!  Let’s do this… In 2000, while I was neck deep in

My name is Tony Skaggs and this is my blog.

Actually, it is probably more of a journal rather than a blog. All the same, please feel free to read what I wrote. It is mostly about things interest or annoy me. I hope what I'm posting here and sharing with the world will either interest or annoy you too. I retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 2011. I work as a professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. I love wife and my dogs, in that order. I enjoy riding bicycles. I am currently working on my doctorate in philosophy. I think I will keep the info sort of sparse in this block. Life is always moving fast, and I rarely have a good idea of what is going on.
